Issue Position

Rhode Island is among the slowest in the nation for job growth and job creation. Since it's the private sector and not the public sector that creates sustainable jobs and tax revenue, we need to implement several structural changes to improve the economic climate in RI and attract businesses to the state.

[1] Reduce the number of permits, licenses and fees businesses must pay in order to operate down to a level at or below the national average
[2] Eliminate the inventory tax that municipalities can impose on businesses
[3] Reduce/eliminate unnecessary costly regulations that are imposed on businesses
